I think broadly speaking this day could probably be described as me trying to reboot my brain. I didn't go no-headphones like I rambled about yesterday but I did make some attempts at being productive. LibreOffice has been completely fucked on my system for a while now and I finally fixed it (by just completely uninstalling/reinstalling it), and I've started to use that instead of Google Docs for worldbuilding stuff because privacy. The only real problem is that any worldbuilding is locked behind me making some small amount of progress on conlangs (enough to make words), and that's locked behind one conlang in particular, as while I usually don't care that much about protolangs I do want to make one because there are two related languages on opposite corners of the fucking world and I feel like that's the only way they'll wind up at all similar to each other. The main problem is just that it'll be using consonantal roots and while they're not difficult to explain the actual stems aren't explained clearly from what I can tell and I honestly have no idea if it makes more sense to start with roots/stems because that's how you make words, or with conjugation/declension because most of that information isn't in the stem itself. I'll probably seek advice tomorrow, right now I wanna eep.
